Liposuction in Iran
Considering body contouring in Tehran? Start with what liposuction can change, what it cannot, and how to compare a surgeon, facility and complete USD quote before you travel.
Liposuction removes selected deposits of fat. It is surgery, with real limits and risks. This guide helps you prepare questions for a licensed surgeon; it cannot determine whether an operation is right for you.

First, decide what you actually want changed
If a persistent pocket of fat changes the line of your waist, thighs, arms or under your chin, liposuction may be one option. A small tube called a cannula removes fat beneath the skin. Its purpose is contour, not major weight loss. It cannot repair stretched abdominal muscles, remove substantial loose skin or treat visceral fat around internal organs. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the NHS make these limits clear.
Why consider Iran, and why start your search in Tehran?
For an international patient, Iran may be worth comparing because it has physicians and facilities that publicly discuss body-contouring procedures, and several English-language travel providers publish USD starting prices. Neither a low advertised price nor the location establishes quality. The value of an offer depends on the named surgeon, operating facility, anesthesia team, follow-up plan and what happens if you need unplanned care. Treat Iran as an option to assess, rather than a promise of a better result.
Tehran gives you a practical starting point: several providers publish procedure information and images, and you can compare more than one surgical opinion without changing cities. A consultation office and an operating hospital may be different places. Ask for both addresses and confirm where the procedure actually happens. If another city offers a better clinical match, the surgeon and facility should take priority over the itinerary.
Travel conditions can change. Check your own government’s advisory and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Iran advice as an additional reference. Confirm entry rules with the relevant Iranian embassy or consulate and your airline before paying for a non-refundable trip. Do not assume that a successful online medical assessment means travel will be possible.
Who might be a suitable candidate?
The ASPS describes typical candidates as adults with localized fat deposits, relatively firm elastic skin, stable weight, good muscle tone and realistic expectations. Good overall health matters because even a small treatment area can involve anesthesia, bleeding or clotting risk. Smoking or nicotine use, significant medical conditions and medications may change the plan. A surgeon must decide what testing and preparation you need; do not stop prescribed medicine because of a general web page. See the ASPS candidate guidance.
Which areas can be treated?
| Area | What to discuss | Common source of confusion |
|---|---|---|
| Abdomen and flanks | Front and side contours, skin quality, prior scars and hernia assessment. | “Lipo 360” is a planning description for several torso zones, not a universal technique or fixed package. |
| Back and bra line | Whether the fold is fat, skin or both; posture and comparable photographs. | A skin fold may remain despite fat removal. |
| Outer and inner thighs | Symmetry, skin laxity, friction symptoms and how many zones are proposed. | More aggressive removal does not necessarily make a smoother contour. |
| Upper arms | Whether a lift and its scar would address loose skin better. | Arm liposuction and arm lift solve different problems. |
| Under the chin | Jawline anatomy, skin elasticity and whether a neck procedure is also discussed. | Neck bands and loose skin cannot be removed by suction alone. |
| Chest | In men, whether fullness is fat, glandular tissue or both. | True gynecomastia may require gland excision; see gynecomastia examples. |
The surgeon’s examination and written plan determine which zones are appropriate. A marketing phrase such as “full body” is too vague for consent or pricing.
Techniques: what changes and what does not?
| Term you may see | What it usually means | Question to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Tumescent liposuction | Fluid is placed in the treatment area before suction. | What anesthetic and fluid monitoring will be used? |
| Power-assisted liposuction / “lipomatic” | A powered or vibrating cannula helps move through tissue. | Which exact device and operative plan are proposed? |
| Ultrasound-assisted / VASER | Ultrasound energy helps loosen fat before removal. | What benefits are expected for my anatomy, and how are burns avoided? |
| Laser-assisted liposuction | Laser energy is used with fat removal. | Is there good reason to add heat, and what are the thermal risks? |
| “Lipo 360” | Several torso areas are planned together. | Which zones, expected volume and operating time are included? |
Some provider pages use “lipomatic” as if it were separate from liposuction; it is better understood as a way of performing suction-assisted fat removal. No device makes surgery risk-free or guarantees skin tightening. Compare the surgeon’s judgment, facility and follow-up more closely than brand names.
Liposuction, tummy tuck or weight-loss care?
Localized fat, fairly elastic skin
A liposuction consultation may be reasonable. Ask how skin is expected to settle and where the incisions would be.
Loose abdominal skin or muscle separation
Discuss tummy tuck surgery. It removes skin and may repair abdominal muscles, with a different scar and recovery.
Weight or metabolic health is the main concern
Seek a medical assessment. The weight-loss treatment guide covers a different clinical question; liposuction does not treat obesity.
A Brazilian butt lift uses fat collected by liposuction and then injected. That addition changes the safety discussion considerably; see the BBL guide rather than assuming a combined operation is routine. People considering breast, arm or thigh surgery may also need skin removal rather than suction alone. A surgeon should explain each component separately.
Five Tehran provider pages to compare
These are starting points for direct enquiries, selected because each publishes a relevant treatment page. They are not a clinical ranking or endorsement. A procedure page does not establish the identity of your operating surgeon, the license of the operating site, or an individual outcome. Ask each provider for those details in writing. If a doctor is proposed, request their registration number and verify their exact profile in the Iran Medical Council directory before you commit. We do not assign a surgeon to a facility without proof of the planned case.
| Provider and location | Publicly documented service | What you still need to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Melal Clinic, Tehran | Persian-language liposuction explanation, technique comparison and cost factors. | Named operating surgeon, professional profile, operating facility, itemized international quote. |
| Novin Irana Clinic, Tehran | Dedicated liposuction service page and candidate discussion. | Where the procedure takes place, the surgeon’s credential and anesthesia arrangements. |
| Iranian Clinic, Tehran | Provider page describing lipomatic body contouring. | Whether your requested area is offered at its specific branch and who would operate. |
| Tehran VIP Clinic, Tehran | Body-contouring service page and a published results gallery, including combined operations. | Exact named surgeon, operating site, and which gallery cases involve liposuction alone. |
| Clinic H2, north Tehran | Submental (double-chin) liposuction service and gallery. | Suitability for the chin only, treating clinician and facility arrangements. Do not infer full-body surgery from this page. |
How much does liposuction in Iran cost in USD?
Public English-language travel listings use different definitions of “liposuction.” One may show a single area or a starting price; another includes several zones, accommodation or a second operation. The examples below are indicative public asking prices, not Hamintour-observed quotations, a median, or a fixed offer. They are included so you can plan questions, not to imply that every provider will charge within the same band.
| Published scope | Indicative USD figure | What must be clarified |
|---|---|---|
| Single-area entry listing | From about $700 | Which area, surgeon, anesthesia, facility and aftercare are included? |
| General liposuction listing | About $1,500 | Number of areas and whether this is procedure-only or a travel package. |
| Abdomen, hips and back example | From about $2,000 | Whether all named zones are covered in one operation and the quoted facility. |
| Liposuction combined with BBL | From about $3,400 | This is a different, higher-risk combined plan; never compare it as liposuction alone. |
Prices are approximate public USD listings, not current treatment offers. Source names: Pars Med Travel, Raadina Health, MedPalTrip and ArianMedTour. Figures may change and package contents vary. For an accurate price, contact Hamintour Medical and request a current written quote after specialist review.
Ask for a line-by-line document showing surgeon fee, anesthesia, facility, investigations, garment, medication, extra-night costs, any companion requirement, transport and follow-up. Check the payment currency and exchange method, deposits, cancellation terms and what happens if the surgeon decides that you should not proceed. A cheaper headline that excludes anesthesia or postoperative care may cost more than a complete quote.

Tell us which areas concern you, where you live, your preferred travel window and whether you have had previous surgery. Hamintour Medical can help pass the relevant history and photographs securely to a suitable provider and arrange the next conversation. A treating clinician must decide whether surgery is appropriate and what it would cost for your case.

What happens before and during the operation?
On the day of surgery, the team marks the intended areas and checks consent. Fluid may be introduced into the tissue and a cannula passed through small incisions to remove fat. The approach, anesthetic and duration vary with the areas, amount of fat and technique. You will be observed after the operation and given wound-care instructions. Some people go home the same day; others need observation. Do not book a tourist excursion for immediately afterward.
Recovery, results and the flight home
Expect swelling, bruising, soreness and a period of reduced activity. A compression garment may be recommended; its fit and duration should come from your treating team. The contour visible after a few days is not the final result. The NHS notes that swelling can take months to settle, and the extent of change differs by patient. Follow your surgeon’s specific instructions about washing, walking, exercise, work and scar care.
Do not let a pre-booked flight decide when you are ready to travel. The NHS advice on cosmetic surgery abroad warns that flying and surgery both increase blood-clot risk and suggests waiting at least 5–7 days after liposuction before flying. That is a general minimum, not medical clearance for your case; a larger or combined operation can require much longer. Ask the surgeon to reassess you before departure, and leave room to change flights if needed.
Risks and warning signs to discuss openly
Possible problems include uneven contour, asymmetry, persistent swelling, altered skin sensation, scarring, bleeding, infection, fluid collection, skin injury and reactions to anesthesia. Serious but less common complications include blood clots, pulmonary embolism, fat embolism and fluid-related problems. The risk profile changes with the amount removed, number of areas, combined surgery, health history and operative setting. The ASPS safety guidance describes these concerns.
Before-and-after photographs: inspect the operation, not just the silhouette
The eight image files below form five submental liposuction comparisons from two provider websites, all hosted on Hamintour. The first three cases use separate before and after files; the last two are provider-labelled composite images. They show chin and neck examples, not abdomen, waist or full-body liposuction. We have not treated unrelated tummy-tuck or combined BBL photographs as proof of liposuction-only results. The sources do not publish standardized follow-up intervals or full case histories alongside every image, so ask for those details before relying on them.

For other body areas, examine VIP Clinic’s body-contouring gallery and note that several images explicitly involve tummy tuck, breast surgery or another combined operation. The H2 gallery has additional chin-suction examples from a separate source. Ask any provider for unedited, full-size images of patients with a similar starting shape, from the same views and at a stated interval after the exact operation proposed to you. A selected photograph is neither an independent audit nor a predicted result.

- Before booking: Send your history for specialist review, compare at least two written plans if possible, verify the operating surgeon in the Medical Council directory and confirm the hospital or surgical-center address.
- Before departure: Check entry requirements and official travel advice, read your insurance exclusions, choose flexible flights and identify a local clinician at home for follow-up.
- Arrival and consultation: Attend the examination, review the exact marked zones and consent form, ask about alternatives, and make sure an interpreter can convey medical details accurately.
- Operation and early recovery: Keep the days after surgery free for rest and clinical checks. Follow the surgeon’s mobility and garment instructions; do not schedule sightseeing by default.
- Before flying home: Obtain clinical clearance, copies of records and a written complication plan. Rebook if the clinician advises delay.
- After return: Keep agreed follow-up appointments and contact local emergency services if urgent symptoms occur. Share a clinical update with the operating team when appropriate.

About Hamintour Medical
Hamintour Medical Tourism is an Iran-based coordination platform for international patients. Its role is to make the process of comparing treatment options and arranging the journey easier to understand and manage. It is not a hospital, clinic or medical practice and does not have a dedicated medical team that diagnoses or treats patients. The licensed doctor and facility are responsible for clinical assessment, consent, treatment and discharge decisions.
Explore the Hamintour Medical home page for other treatment areas or the Iran medical travel magazine for related guides. If you prefer to start with one question, tell us the body area, your country of residence and whether previous surgery or a health condition may affect the plan.
Frequently asked questions
Is liposuction a way to lose a large amount of weight?
No. It targets localized fat to change contour and is not obesity treatment. Ask a clinician about weight and metabolic health separately.
Will liposuction tighten loose skin?
Only limited skin contraction may occur. Significant excess skin can remain, and a lift or tummy tuck may be more relevant. An examination is needed.
Is lipomatic different from liposuction?
“Lipomatic” is commonly used for a powered-assisted approach to fat removal. Ask which device is proposed and why; the device name does not replace surgeon and facility checks.
Can I combine liposuction with a tummy tuck or BBL?
Sometimes, but the risk, anesthesia time and recovery change. Ask for the rationale and whether treatment should be staged. BBL requires its own safety discussion.
How do I verify a surgeon in Iran?
Request the surgeon’s full name, specialty and medical registration number. Check the exact person in the Iran Medical Council member directory and confirm who will operate at which facility.
Why do published prices differ so much?
Advertisements may cover one area, several areas, procedure-only care or a package with travel. Ask for the same itemized components before comparing figures.
How soon can I fly after liposuction?
The NHS gives a general minimum of 5–7 days after liposuction, but your surgeon must clear you personally. Extensive or combined surgery may require a longer stay.
Are the photographs a guarantee of my result?
No. They are selected provider-published examples. Anatomy, skin, healing, camera angle and combined procedures affect what they show. Ask for comparable cases and the stated follow-up time.
What if a problem develops after I return?
Seek urgent care locally when symptoms are serious, and contact the operating team according to your written follow-up plan. Hamintour can coordinate communication but cannot replace medical care.
