Rhinoplasty Clinics and Surgeons in Iran: A Practical Guide to Comparing Care

A nose operation is personal: the desired shape, breathing, skin, cartilage and prior surgery all matter. This guide gives you ten facilities to investigate, ten named physicians with direct Medical Council records, 72 provider-published image files, current questions to ask and real published USD price examples. Most options are in Tehran, where an international patient can compare several consultations and travel arrangements.

Use the list as a research starting point. Search visibility, a case gallery and a professional registration do not independently establish a clinic’s current licence or predict your result. The operating surgeon and licensed facility must determine the final medical plan.

How this comparison was prepared. The questions draw on Hamintour Medical Tourism’s coordination experience and patient feedback, checked against public facility pages, surgeons’ own sites, the Iran Medical Council and clinical guidance. This is an informational comparison, not a paid ranking or advertorial. We do not claim to have audited complication rates, patient consent for every gallery image or the present operating privileges of every doctor. Confirm those points directly before booking.

What a useful rhinoplasty shortlist can and cannot tell you

There is no independent national registry here that ranks every Iranian rhinoplasty surgeon by comparable, risk-adjusted outcomes. We therefore show inspectable evidence and unresolved questions instead of assigning a score. A first operation for a modest bridge change is different from reconstructing a nose after prior surgery, trauma or a breathing problem. A clinic suitable for one patient may be unsuitable for another.

Start with the clinical question. Tell the surgeon about previous injuries and operations, nasal obstruction, allergies, medicines, smoking and the appearance you hope to change. Ask what can realistically be achieved without compromising support or airflow. Both the NHS patient guide and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons procedure guide describe risks and the need for individual planning. Digital simulations can help communicate a goal; they do not guarantee the result.

Four checks before comparing a headline price

  1. Person: the full name and direct professional record of the surgeon who will operate.
  2. Place: the exact hospital or licensed surgical facility, not merely a consultation address.
  3. Plan: appearance, breathing, grafts if needed, anaesthesia, risks and follow-up.
  4. Proof: a written, itemised quote and dated cases relevant to your anatomy.

The Medical Council shows professional registration and listed specialty. It does not on its own certify the operating room, verify current privileges at a named hospital or disclose individual outcomes. Ask the facility to confirm those separately in writing.

Why consider Iran for rhinoplasty?

The practical attraction is choice paired with a potentially lower total price. This guide documents seven Tehran facilities and ten Tehran-based physicians with public sources, so a traveller can compare more than one approach before committing. The selected published international-patient hospital prices in Iran are below the selected offers shown later for Türkiye, Dubai, the UK and the US. That is a useful reason to request a proposal, though the examples cover different providers and are not equivalent clinical quotations.

Tehran may simplify multiple consultations, accommodation and transport, while Mashhad or Yazd may make sense if a specific surgeon, hospital or family support is there. A good destination is the one in which you can verify the named surgeon, operating facility, total price, recovery time and follow-up. If travel advice, insurance terms or your health make the journey unsuitable, the apparent price saving is not enough to justify it.

Hamintour can help put these details into a single comparison. You can also read the Rhinoplasty in Iran landing page for the full treatment journey and the plastic surgery overview for other procedures.

Ten facilities to investigate: seven in Tehran, three elsewhere

These entries show what the facilities publish about international care or related surgical services. They are not equivalent operating theatres and are not ranked by results. Melal is a clinic; its gallery does not tell you where a particular surgery will take place. Kasra Hospital in Tehran and Kasra Day Surgery Center in Mashhad are different entities. We omit map pins where an exact, verified place link is unavailable; use the official address source and confirm the branch before travel.

Addresses, service lines, staffing and branch arrangements can change. Confirm all four with the facility, especially if your procedure is a revision or includes functional nasal surgery.

Ten named physicians with direct professional records

The list deliberately gives direct Council profile links rather than claiming that a marketing title proves a specialty. Council wording may differ from a physician’s website. Open each record, check the Persian spelling and registration number, and ask the treating facility to confirm the physician’s present role and operative privileges. A valid record does not establish that the surgeon is right for your anatomy.

Some providers publish detailed galleries while others offer fewer comparable cases. Ask for unedited, dated frontal, side and three-quarter images similar to your nose. For revision work, ask what scar tissue, residual cartilage, support and breathing issues change in the plan. The Iran Medical Council search lets you recheck a record directly before paying.

Rhinoplasty costs: compare published USD examples with the full bill

Iran can offer strong value for an international patient whose surgeon and facility match the clinical need. The best evidence here is a specific published provider price, not a made-up national median or a claim that every operation costs the same. Primary, functional and revision surgery may differ substantially. Never convert a local toman quote intended for Iranian residents into a foreign-patient price.

Mortaz Hospital general listUS$2,000A separate published list with a one-day single-room entryProvider price page

The two Mortaz pages do not present an identical headline price. Treat that as a reason to ask for a current, signed proposal rather than choose whichever figure is lower. Ask whether surgeon, anaesthetist, operating room, tests, medication, splint, accommodation, airport transfer, interpreter, follow-up and possible extra nights are included. The price you compare should match your specific plan.

Iran and selected regional, European and US examples

These are selected, differently scoped public figures, not comparable national averages. They are expressed in approximate US dollars for orientation. The UAE example is an operative provider offer, the UK figure is NHS consumer guidance, and the US figure is surgeon fees only. A UK or US total may add facility and anaesthesia charges; some tourism packages include hotel and transfers.

USD conversions use illustrative rounded rates and are not current payment quotes. Procedure scope and package contents differ. Ask Hamintour Medical for an itemised, case-specific USD proposal and compare it with another written offer on the same terms.

Compare a written plan, not just a number

Share your goals, breathing symptoms, prior operations, country of residence and any competing written quote. We can help request comparable proposals and explain inclusions. The licensed surgeon makes the medical decision, and no quoted outcome or universal lowest price can be guaranteed.

Before-and-after research: 72 sourced images from eight providers

Below are 72 image files already hosted by Hamintour and used in the Arabic version. Each has an English alt description and a direct source-gallery link; most also link to the source image file. The collection is uneven: two providers account for many photographs, while six contribute five each. Seventy-two files do not mean 72 different patients or 72 audited outcomes.

Look at frontal, profile and three-quarter views, matching camera distance and lighting where possible. Ask whether the photographs show the same patient at a stated point after surgery, whether any retouching occurred and whether the patient had functional breathing work. A single attractive angle can hide asymmetry or breathing concerns. Some provider pages may show one view or an early postoperative stage rather than a true before-and-after pair. We label these conservatively as published examples.

For more treatment examples see rhinoplasty before-and-after cases and the wider Hamintour results collection. The images are provider publications, not a promise of a similar result for you.

Different noses call for different consultations

Primary aesthetic rhinoplasty

A first operation may address a dorsal hump, tip position, width, projection or asymmetry. You should still ask about breathing, cartilage support and the effect of changes on the rest of your face. The choice between open and closed access is the surgeon’s clinical decision; neither label proves superior results by itself. Compare the proposed change with your baseline photographs and ask which limits cannot be safely removed.

Functional concerns and septorhinoplasty

If nasal obstruction is a main concern, explain which side, when it occurs and whether trauma, allergies or previous treatment matter. Cosmetic reshaping and functional correction may be combined, but a photograph cannot diagnose the cause of impaired airflow. Ask about examination, possible septal or valve problems, whether any tests are needed and how success will be assessed. The related ENT treatment in Iran guide may help you prepare questions.

Revision rhinoplasty

Prior surgery changes the anatomy. Scar tissue, weak support, missing cartilage and altered airway structures can make a second procedure more demanding. Bring your operative note, imaging if any and dated photographs. Ask whether cartilage from the septum, ear or rib might be considered, why, and what additional scars or risks that creates. The revision rhinoplasty guide expands on planning and follow-up. No reputable surgeon can promise that every dissatisfaction is surgically correctable.

Women, men and ethnic goals

There is no single ideal nose for all women or all men, and no one ethnic template. Describe the features you wish to keep as well as those you wish to change. Skin thickness, bone and cartilage structure, facial proportions and cultural preference all matter. Ask for examples with similar anatomy and goals, including front views, and make clear whether you want subtle refinement or a more visible change. The clinical goal is a plan you understand, not an imposed standard of appearance.

When surgery should pause

Uncontrolled illness, active infection, unresolved breathing symptoms or expectations that cannot safely be met may require investigation, treatment or a decision not to operate. If a surgeon advises against a procedure, ask why and seek an independent qualified opinion if needed. A coordinator should help you obtain answers, not override a clinical refusal.

Questions to put in writing before paying a deposit

IssueThe question that deserves a specific answer
Surgeon and facilityWho will personally perform the operation? What is their current registration and hospital privilege? Where exactly is the operating room?
Goal and breathingWhat appearance changes are feasible? What causes my obstruction, if any, and how will you assess airflow?
Technique and graftsWhy open or closed access? Would septal, ear or rib cartilage be needed, and what are the alternatives?
Anaesthesia and safetyWho is the anaesthetist? What postoperative observation is planned? Who handles bleeding, infection or airway problems?
Price and contractWhat is included in USD, and what changes the total? What are deposit, cancellation and rescheduling rules?
Travel and follow-upWhen is the first review? Who decides if I am fit to fly? What written records and urgent contact will I receive?
PhotographsDo you have dated, unedited cases similar to mine with matching views and a clear follow-up interval?

Keep copies of the written plan, consent discussion, invoice, medicines and postoperative instructions. If you cannot get a clear operating physician, facility name or complication pathway, delay payment until those answers are available.

Plan the trip around care, not a fixed flight date

Before buying non-refundable travel, check entry rules for your nationality through Iran’s official e-visa portal or the relevant consulate, and read your own government’s current Iran travel advice. The UK travel advisory is an example for British travellers. Conditions and routes may change. Ask your insurer in writing about elective surgery abroad, complications, evacuation and treatment after returning home. CDC medical-tourism guidance explains continuity-of-care and infection concerns.

Send a concise medical history, medication list, allergy details, smoking status, breathing complaints and prior operative reports before a preliminary review. The surgeon must still examine you and may alter or decline the plan. Build time for consultation, tests if ordered, surgery, observation and surgeon-directed reviews. Do not assume that someone else’s seven-day schedule is safe for you.

Before departure, obtain the surgeon’s name, operative report, treatment and medicine list, warning signs, a follow-up schedule and an emergency contact you can use from home. Heavy bleeding, worsening pain, fever, breathing difficulty or other concerning symptoms need prompt local medical assessment. Remote messages can support continuity but cannot replace an examination. Keep a local clinician informed that you received surgery abroad.

What Hamintour Medical Tourism can coordinate

Hamintour is an Iran-based medical travel coordination platform. We connect international patients with possible doctors, clinics and hospitals and make the journey easier to organise. We are not a hospital, clinic or dedicated medical team. We do not diagnose, prescribe medicine, obtain consent on a surgeon’s behalf or perform rhinoplasty. The licensed clinician and facility make every final treatment decision.

Before travel: a clearer comparison

We can collect your questions and records, contact suitable providers, coordinate preliminary clinical reviews and appointments, and request written plans that identify the operating surgeon, facility, proposed procedure, anaesthesia, quoted USD price and exclusions. If you share another genuine written quote, ask us to compare like with like and explain any difference. We invite price comparison; this is not an unconditional claim that every Hamintour quote is the lowest anywhere.

During the visit: practical support

At your request, we can assist with flight booking, suitable accommodation, airport reception, transfers between lodging and treatment sites, interpretation or a patient companion. We can help coordinate tests and imaging that a physician orders and maintain communication with the provider through the stay. Any sightseeing is planned only if the treating team agrees that it fits recovery.

After you return: an open channel

We can help send follow-up questions and photographs to the original treatment team and arrange a further conversation where needed. Urgent symptoms require local medical care. We can also help you obtain the records needed by a clinician at home. For the wider service context see the Hamintour Medical hub and Iran medical-travel magazine.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best rhinoplasty surgeon in Iran?

There is no independent, risk-adjusted national ranking here that can name a universally best surgeon. Check direct registration, experience with your anatomy, hospital privileges, relevant dated cases and an individual plan.

Does a Medical Council number guarantee a good result?

No. It helps verify a professional record and listed specialty. It does not certify a specific operating site, the surgeon’s current privileges or the likely outcome for your case.

Are the 72 gallery files 72 distinct patients?

No. They are 72 published image files from eight sources. Some may show more than one view of the same person or a single stage. We have not independently audited identity, consent or photography dates.

How much does rhinoplasty cost in Iran in US dollars?

Provider-published examples on this page include US$1,500 at Mehr Hospital and US$1,750–2,000 on a Mortaz Hospital package page. These are not a national median or a personal quote; scope and prices must be reconfirmed.

Is Iran guaranteed to be the cheapest country?

No universal lowest-price claim is justified. Selected public examples place some Iranian offers below selected offers in Türkiye, Dubai, the UK and the US, but they are not matching operations or package contents.

Can rhinoplasty improve breathing as well as appearance?

Sometimes, when a qualified surgeon identifies a correctable functional problem. Photographs alone cannot diagnose nasal obstruction; ask for an examination and a separate explanation of the breathing plan.

Is revision rhinoplasty more complicated?

It can be, because scar tissue, altered cartilage and airway support may limit options. Bring prior operative records and ask about graft needs, risks and realistic goals.

Can I choose a surgeon from before-and-after photos alone?

No. Provider galleries are self-selected and may lack matched dates, angles and clinical details. Use them to prepare questions, then verify registration, facility, plan and follow-up.

When can I fly home after surgery?

There is no safe universal day. Your surgeon should decide after assessing the operation, bleeding, swelling, splint or packing, follow-up needs and your fitness to travel.

What if the surgeon changes the plan after I arrive?

Ask for the clinical reason, new price, alternatives and consent details in writing. You may pause or decline elective surgery if you are not comfortable with the revised plan.

What does Hamintour do after I return?

Hamintour can help reconnect you with the provider, pass follow-up questions and photographs and obtain records. It does not replace local urgent care or a medical examination.

Does Hamintour perform the operation?

No. Hamintour coordinates introductions, communication and travel support. The licensed surgeon and facility are responsible for diagnosis, treatment, informed consent and medical follow-up.

Sources and limits of this comparison

Medical and travel references: NHS nose-reshaping guide, American Society of Plastic Surgeons rhinoplasty guide, CDC medical-tourism guidance, Iran Medical Council member search, official Iranian visa portal and UK travel advice for Iran. Each facility, physician and image source has a direct link next to its entry. The international price table uses the named sources in its footnote.

Provider staffing, facility licences, photo galleries, prices, travel rules and security conditions can change. Reconfirm them directly before paying. This guide gives general information; only a treating clinician who reviews your health and examines your nose can decide whether surgery is appropriate.

Three Hamintour starting options for a closer conversation

These are three evidence-led starting points, not a ranking of clinical outcomes. We selected them because the available public record offers a direct physician profile and relevant provider information, or a hospital treatment page and a clear contact route. The right option for you depends on anatomy, breathing, prior surgery, budget and the available operating facility.

Dr. Armin Akbari — review detailed published cases

His original rhinoplasty gallery offers many views to discuss style and case similarity. Check his direct Medical Council record and source gallery. Ask for the hospital, operating role and dated cases that resemble your own nose.

Dr. Mohsen Fadaei Araghi — discuss plastic-surgery and revision questions

His Council record lists plastic, reconstructive and burn surgery, and his own gallery includes rhinoplasty material. If you have had surgery before, ask how he would evaluate support, scars, breathing and possible grafts.

Mehr Hospital, Mashhad — compare a published hospital price

Its international price page gives a concrete USD starting comparison. Ask which surgeon would operate, whether the current offer applies to your anatomy, what is included and how follow-up would work before you fly home.

Hamintour can help you compare these with other documented options in the article. Choose a treatment team only after checking current credentials, facility arrangements and the full written proposal.
