Dental Clinics and Dentists in Iran: A Practical Comparison for International Patients
A clinic name or a polished smile photograph does not tell you who will treat each tooth, how many visits are required, what a quote includes, or who helps if a problem appears at home. This guide brings together ten provider sites, ten direct professional profiles and source-attributed treatment images so you can ask more precise questions before committing to a dental trip.
General information, not a diagnosis or a recommendation for a particular patient. How to compare a dental clinic rather than an advertisement
Begin with a diagnosis, not a fashionable treatment. A missing tooth may call for an implant, bridge or removable replacement; a damaged tooth may be repairable rather than removable. A smile photograph cannot show the bite, root condition, gum health or whether the result survived years of use. Ask a dentist to explain the findings tooth by tooth, what imaging is needed, the less invasive alternatives and what may change after an examination. The NHS overview of dental treatments explains how implants, crowns and bridges serve different purposes.
We prioritized Tehran because multiple clinics, labs and specialists can be compared in one city; the Shiraz center offers a useful second-city option. We checked that each listed site publishes a location and relevant service or gallery. We have not inspected sterilization practices, independently measured survival rates or established that the illustrated cases belong to any particular dentist in our separate professional table. Provider claims of “best,” “painless,” “instant” or “lifetime” results are not evidence. Published addresses and teams may change, so reconfirm them directly.
For every quote, request the dentist’s full name, Iranian Medical Council registration, specialty relevant to the task, treatment room or branch, a plan for each tooth, material or implant-system name, number of visits, time between stages and a local follow-up pathway. The Iranian Medical Council search lets you check the record. If the plan spans surgery and prosthodontics, identify who is responsible for each step rather than assume one person provides both.
Ten dental clinics and practices to investigate
Nine options below are in Tehran and one is in Shiraz. Each has a direct provider link and five or more hosted images from its published gallery. The images are provider-selected examples, not audited outcomes or a count of unique patients. We omit map links because a map search result is not a verified pin.
| Provider | City | Research focus | Published site | Key question |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Iran Implant Center | Tehran | Dental implants and implant restorations | Provider page | Ask whether a quoted implant includes the fixture, abutment, final crown and any bone graft. Confirm who places the implant and who restores it. |
| Serita Dental Center | Tehran | Implants, restorations and veneers | Provider page | Which named dentists handle the surgical and restorative phases, and how many visits are expected? |
| Dr. Shayan Ghasemnejad Clinic | Tehran | Veneers and aesthetic dentistry | Provider page | How much natural tooth structure would be removed, and what are less invasive alternatives? |
| Raya Dental Center | Tehran | Implants and veneers | Provider page | Ask who performs each stage and whether the published implant example resembles your bone and gum condition. |
| Dr. Saeed Karimi Clinic | Tehran | Implants, veneers and prosthodontic work | Provider page | Request a tooth-by-tooth written plan, named implant system and documented aftercare contact. |
| Dr. Farzaneh Farokhnejad Clinic | Tehran | Restorative and cosmetic dentistry, veneers | Provider page | Which source photographs form complete before-and-after cases, and how were teeth prepared? |
| Mehregan Dental Center | Tehran | Orthodontics, implants and veneers | Provider page | Which specialist would manage alignment, surgery and final restoration if the plan combines them? |
| Dr. Mehrdad Fallah Clinic | Tehran | Veneers and smile design | Provider page | What treatment was done besides veneers, and how will the bite and gum health be checked? |
| Dr. Mojgan Dasturi Clinic | Tehran | Restoration and smile design | Provider page | Do the three photo pairs represent the same proposed treatment and material? |
| Negin Dental Clinic, Shiraz | Shiraz | Implants, veneers and restorative work | Provider page | If choosing Shiraz rather than Tehran, how will the plan handle repeat visits and care after you return? |
1. Iran Implant Center
Location published by provider: Tehran, Saadat Abad, North Allameh Street, East 20th Alley, No. 24. Relevant scope: Dental implants and implant restorations.
Its published case gallery and implant focus make it a practical starting point for tooth-replacement questions. The center’s local-currency menu is not an international-patient USD quote; request a written plan after imaging.
Official provider site and address · Original gallery
Ask before booking: Ask whether a quoted implant includes the fixture, abutment, final crown and any bone graft. Confirm who places the implant and who restores it.

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
2. Serita Dental Center
Location published by provider: Tehran, Pasdaran, Rafiqdoost Street, No. 42. Relevant scope: Implants, restorations and veneers.
The published implant portfolio helps a traveler discuss the difference between placement and final restoration. Multiple views can depict the same case, so count them as images rather than independent patients.
Official provider site and address · Original gallery
Ask before booking: Which named dentists handle the surgical and restorative phases, and how many visits are expected?

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
3. Dr. Shayan Ghasemnejad Clinic
Location published by provider: Tehran, Zaferanieh, Almas Tower, Floor 5, Unit 54. Relevant scope: Veneers and aesthetic dentistry.
The official gallery can guide questions about shape, color and gum line. It cannot reveal bite stability, preparation depth or long-term maintenance without the case record.
Official provider site and address · Original gallery
Ask before booking: How much natural tooth structure would be removed, and what are less invasive alternatives?

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
4. Raya Dental Center
Location published by provider: Tehran, Valiasr Street, Esfandiar Boulevard, No. 62. Relevant scope: Implants and veneers.
Raya publishes treatment information and an implant page. Use them to prepare questions about imaging, healing, provisional teeth and final prosthesis rather than assume a single-visit solution.
Official provider site and address · Original gallery
Ask before booking: Ask who performs each stage and whether the published implant example resembles your bone and gum condition.

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
5. Dr. Saeed Karimi Clinic
Location published by provider: Tehran, Jordan, above the petrol station, Tandis Alley, No. 4, Units 1 and 2. Relevant scope: Implants, veneers and prosthodontic work.
The practice publishes patient work and a Tehran location. Its examples should be discussed in the context of your bite, gum health and the material proposed for each restoration.
Official provider site and address · Original gallery
Ask before booking: Request a tooth-by-tooth written plan, named implant system and documented aftercare contact.

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
6. Dr. Farzaneh Farokhnejad Clinic
Location published by provider: Tehran, Valiasr Street, Tavanir Street, near Vanak Square, Tavanir Doctors Building, Floor 4. Relevant scope: Restorative and cosmetic dentistry, veneers.
The five files shown include four published comparisons and one result image without its corresponding before view. We label the latter accordingly instead of calling it a complete pair.

Ask before booking: Which source photographs form complete before-and-after cases, and how were teeth prepared?

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
7. Mehregan Dental Center
Location published by provider: Tehran, South Sardar Jangal Street, East Bahar intersection, Araman Building, Floor 4. Relevant scope: Orthodontics, implants and veneers.
A service menu covering several specialties can be convenient, but an international patient should identify the clinician and visit schedule for each phase. The gallery offers examples, not audited success rates.

Ask before booking: Which specialist would manage alignment, surgery and final restoration if the plan combines them?

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
8. Dr. Mehrdad Fallah Clinic
Location published by provider: Tehran, Shariati Street, Pol-e Rumi, opposite Gheitariyeh metro, Omega Building, No. 1834, Floor 4. Relevant scope: Veneers and smile design.
Smile photography is helpful for discussing preferences but can hide preparation depth, occlusion and maintenance requirements. Ask for the specific material and number of teeth in the proposal.

Ask before booking: What treatment was done besides veneers, and how will the bite and gum health be checked?

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
9. Dr. Mojgan Dasturi Clinic
Location published by provider: Tehran, Jordan / Nelson Mandela Street, above Zafar, Naseri Street, No. 2, Unit 4. Relevant scope: Restoration and smile design.
The six hosted files are three labeled before-and-after pairs, not six separate patients. Discuss exactly which procedure produced each result and how it is maintained.

Ask before booking: Do the three photo pairs represent the same proposed treatment and material?

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
10. Negin Dental Clinic, Shiraz
Location published by provider: Shiraz, Zargari intersection toward Chamran, Ibn Sina Medical Building, Floor 4, Unit 18. Relevant scope: Implants, veneers and restorative work.
This Shiraz center provides a non-Tehran comparison. Location may suit some travelers, but the best option depends on the named clinician, treatment scope and follow-up plan, not the city alone.
Official provider site and address · Original gallery
Ask before booking: If choosing Shiraz rather than Tehran, how will the plan handle repeat visits and care after you return?

Ask the provider for the treatment record, image dates and responsible clinician. Multiple images may show one patient or different views; the file count does not establish the number of cases.
Ten dentists and specialists with direct professional profiles
These names are a separate professional research list; we are not asserting that they work at any of the ten clinics above. Each row links directly to the individual Iranian Medical Council record and a further published listing where available. Check the current registration, exact specialty, practice location and whether the person would actually treat you. A registration number does not establish a clinical success rate.
| Dentist or specialist | City | Published field | Medical Council number and direct record | Additional published listing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mohammad Sadegh Ahmad Akhondi | Tehran | Orthodontics | No. 23512 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
| Yoshiyahu Refoua | Tehran | Oral and maxillofacial surgery | No. 16087 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
| Amir Moradi | Islamshahr, Tehran Province | Orthodontics | No. 124642 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
| Behrouz Khanlari | Tehran | Oral and maxillofacial surgery | No. 61781 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
| Pardis Etezad Keyhani | Tehran | Pediatric dentistry | No. 152570 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
| Mehdi Bemanali | Tehran | Oral and maxillofacial surgery | No. 102135 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
| Adel Khayyati | Tehran | Implant-surgery fellowship listed in profile | No. 68492 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
| Parsa Atashrazm | Location not listed in council profile | Prosthodontics | No. 27316 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
| Foad Akhondi Nasab | Tehran | Implant fellowship listed in profile | No. 121547 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
| Ehsan Khashabi | Urmia | Periodontal surgery | No. 111120 · Direct profile | Published professional listing |
The additional listing is not necessarily a personal practice website. We have not invented a clinic affiliation or a personal domain where none was verified. Before booking, ask the proposed center to identify the exact dentist and match that name and registration to the official record. The same caution applies to practitioners not shown here.
Match the dental specialty to your question
Implants, missing teeth and full-arch plans
An implant is a replacement root that can support a crown, bridge or denture, but it is not the automatic answer for every damaged tooth. Ask whether the original tooth can be saved and what would happen if gum disease or bone loss is found. Implant surgery and the final prosthesis may be separate stages by different clinicians. The Cambridge University Hospitals patient guide explains why restorative design changes the treatment sequence. A quote for a “single implant” may cover only the fixture, while a complete tooth replacement also needs an abutment and crown. Bone grafting, sinus work or extraction may add cost and time.
Crowns, veneers and whitening
A veneer changes the front surface of a tooth; a crown covers more of it. Ask the dentist to show the reason for any tooth preparation and discuss the long-term replacement cycle. The Manchester University NHS guidance notes that crowns, veneers and bridges can require removal of tooth surface. If you plan to whiten teeth, ask how the final shade will be chosen and whether existing restorations would need replacement. A glossy image does not prove that the bite and gums are healthy.
Alignment, children and oral surgery
Orthodontic treatment often needs regular adjustment. That makes a short overseas trip very different from a locally supervised course. For a child, ask about the pediatric dentist’s approach to anxiety, sedation and follow-up. Impacted wisdom teeth, jaw surgery and complex extractions may require an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and appropriate facility. Compare the named specialist and treatment site, not a general promise that a clinic offers “all dentistry.” The NHS treatment overview can help frame the alternatives, while your dentist must make the personal recommendation.
A one-page comparison you can actually use
Put two proposed plans side by side: diagnosis for each tooth, treatment and less invasive alternative, clinician for each stage, implant system or restoration material, number of appointments, healing intervals, temporary and final work, total price, records delivered and what happens after you return. If one offer says “implant” and the other “implant with crown,” they are not equivalent. Ask what the provider would do if the in-person examination changes the plan. See our Dental Care in Iran landing guide for the broader treatment and travel pathway.
Dental costs in USD: compare the complete treatment, not a headline
We do not convert domestic prices in toman into international-patient quotations. The Iran figures below are a public USD listing for one dental center in Shiraz, reported by QanoMed and already used as a limited example in the Arabic guide. They are neither a Tehran average nor a price offered by the ten clinics above. The listing does not establish whether an implant figure includes the fixture, abutment, crown, imaging or bone work. Treat the figures as a budgeting prompt until the treating provider sends a written, current plan.
| Procedure or item | Iran public example | What to ask the treating provider |
|---|---|---|
| Single dental implant | About $700–$1,250 | Does this include fixture, abutment, crown, scan, graft if needed and follow-up? |
| Single dental crown | About $200–$400 | Material, temporary crown, laboratory work and any root treatment? |
| Veneers or orthodontics | Individual quote required | Number of teeth or length of care, material and adjustment visits? |
| Full-arch restoration | Individual quote required | Number of fixtures and temporary versus final prosthesis? |
Approximate published examples only. Source name: QanoMed listing for Dr. Hashemian Implant & Cosmetic Dental Center. The figures are not Hamintour observed quotations or a market median.
How Iran compares with nearby Türkiye, Europe and the United States
The table intentionally shows each price unit and missing component. It would be misleading to call the Iranian number the “cheapest complete implant” while the crown and abutment inclusion is unknown. The published Iranian starting figure may make treatment economically attractive, especially for a larger plan, but a true comparison requires a dentist-reviewed full quotation.
| Published location | Approximate USD for one implant-related offer | Scope limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Iran, Shiraz listing | $700–$1,250 | Implant offer; crown and abutment inclusion must be checked |
| Türkiye, provider guide | About $540–$1,960 | €500–€1,800 guide range with crown; illustrative euro conversion |
| United Kingdom, selected practices | From about $3,120 | From £2,400; illustrative pound conversion and provider-specific scope |
| United States, provider guide estimate | About $3,000–$6,000 | Indicative complete implant with crown; verify local fees |
All figures are approximate. Source names: QanoMed; Acibadem International dental-implant cost guide; Bupa Dental Care; Acibadem International country comparison. For illustration only, €1 ≈ $1.09 and £1 ≈ $1.30; these are not live exchange rates. Source ranges, dates, inclusions and locations differ. No claim of a national median or guaranteed country-wide ranking is made.
A written offer should separate consultation, imaging, extraction, implant fixture, abutment, temporary tooth, final crown or bridge, laboratory, grafting, medication, sedation, review, travel and any second visit. Ask about payment currency, refund terms and what changes after examination. Compare our itemized proposal with other written quotes; a lower headline number is not necessarily a lower total.
Request a plan you can compare
Tell us your concern, previous dental work, travel window and whether you have recent images. hamintour Medical Tourism can coordinate a preliminary review by the appropriate provider and request an itemized USD quote. Only an in-person dental examination can settle the final clinical plan.

How to read the 51 hosted treatment images
Every center’s examples appear in its own profile, linked to the source gallery. The 51 files are not 51 distinct patients or evidence of a success rate. Some source pictures combine a comparison in one file; others show separate before and after views. Dr. Dasturi’s six files form three pairs. One file in Dr. Farokhnejad’s group shows a result without the matching before view, so it is labeled as a result image. We have not assigned any provider’s gallery to the ten dentists in the separate registration table unless the original source establishes that link.
Check camera angle, light, lip position and how many teeth are visible. Ask whether whitening, gum treatment or additional restorations occurred, when the image was taken and whether a similar case has follow-up images. A bright “after” photo does not show chewing comfort, gum health or whether the work can be maintained. For further examples on Hamintour, visit the before-and-after library and the dental cosmetic examples, and review the original source for each case.
From choosing a dentist to returning home
Before buying a flight
Collect prior radiographs if available, a medication list, allergies and a clear description of symptoms. Send sensitive information only through a channel you are comfortable using. Ask what can be estimated remotely and what requires examination. Severe pain, facial swelling, fever or uncontrolled bleeding warrant prompt local dental or medical assessment; do not wait for a planned medical trip. Review your potential insurer’s rules for overseas elective dentistry and complications.
At the first appointment in Iran
Allow time for an examination, imaging if indicated, discussion of alternatives and a revised quote before treatment begins. A flight home should not pressure a dentist to cement a permanent restoration before it is ready. If a plan involves implant healing, grafting or orthodontic adjustments, ask whether a second trip or local dentist can reasonably handle the next stage. The Cambridge University Hospitals implant information describes the implant as an anchor that later supports a crown, bridge or denture; the schedule depends on the individual case.
Before departure and after returning
Request a treatment summary naming teeth treated, dentist, implant system and parts where applicable, crown material, relevant scans, instructions, warning signs and the planned review. Arrange a local dentist who will receive the records. The CDC medical-tourism guidance emphasizes complication planning and continuity of care. Check entry requirements on the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-visa portal and current travel advice from your own government before buying a nonrefundable ticket.
About hamintour Medical Tourism and our dental-travel services
hamintour Medical Tourism is a medical-tourism coordination platform. We are not a dental clinic, hospital or treating medical team; we do not diagnose, prescribe or perform dentistry. Licensed dentists and facilities assess the patient and make the clinical decisions with informed consent.
We can help you organize records and questions, identify relevant providers, request a specialist’s preliminary review, coordinate consultation and treatment appointments, and compare written plans. If you choose to travel, we can assist with flight booking on request, accommodation suited to your treatment schedule, airport reception, transport between hotel and clinic, interpretation or a patient companion when needed, and practical support during the stay. We can facilitate communication with the dentist after you return. Tests and imaging are arranged when the treating clinician orders them, not decided by our coordinators.
Ask us for a clear list of what is included, what is optional, who supplies each service and what would change the price. Compare our itemized proposal with other written offers. We aim to make the process transparent and easier to manage rather than promise an unsupported lowest price or a guaranteed result. Explore the medical-tourism platform and medical magazine, or contact us through WhatsApp.
Frequently asked questions
Are these the ten best dental clinics in Iran?
This is a source-checked research shortlist, not a national clinical ranking. The right provider depends on the diagnosis, named dentist, facility, treatment sequence and follow-up.
Do the ten doctors work at the ten clinics listed?
No affiliation is implied. The professional table is a separate directory of direct Medical Council records. Ask the clinic for the actual dentist who will treat you.
Does the implant price include a crown?
The Iran public example does not clearly establish that. Request a written breakdown of fixture, abutment, final crown, imaging, grafting and review.
Can I finish an implant in one trip?
Some cases need staged surgery and restoration with healing between visits. The treating dentist must assess bone, gums and the proposed prosthesis before setting a timeline.
Are 51 photographs 51 different patients?
No. Some files are paired views or multiple angles, and one published result lacks its matching before view. The file count is not a patient count or outcome measure.
What if I need urgent dental care before travel?
Seek prompt local professional assessment for severe pain, swelling, fever or bleeding. Do not postpone urgent care for a planned dental trip.
What does hamintour do?
hamintour Medical Tourism coordinates information, provider contact, travel logistics and follow-up communication. The licensed treating dentist and facility handle clinical decisions and treatment.
Three useful starting points for a personal shortlist
These are not the top three clinics by clinical outcome. They illustrate different questions an international patient may need to ask. Confirm current team, scope and follow-up directly before deciding.
- Iran Implant Center, Tehran — its implant-focused gallery and published location make it useful when comparing tooth-replacement plans. Clarify what the full quote includes.
- Serita Dental Center, Tehran — its implant portfolio is a second source for discussing surgical and restorative stages. Ask who will perform both stages and how many visits are needed.
- Dr. Farzaneh Farokhnejad Clinic, Tehran — its published aesthetic cases give a starting point for questions about veneers and restorative dentistry. Request preparation details and long-term maintenance advice.
