This guide provides general information and helps you plan a medical trip. It does not decide whether fillers are right for you. A licensed clinician and treatment facility must assess the area, product, amount, technique and consent. Hamintour does not diagnose, prescribe or perform injections.

Dermal fillers in Iran: what matters first

A dermal filler is an injectable medical product used to add volume or alter a contour in a specific area. Hyaluronic acid is a common material, but products differ in their formulation, intended use and duration. Lip, cheek or chin treatment may be reasonable for some adults. It is also a medical procedure with the possibility of serious harm. If you are coming to Tehran from another country, a low headline price or a striking photograph should be the beginning of your questions, not the end of them.

Before booking, learn who will actually inject you, whether that person is properly registered, which sealed product is proposed, how much will be used, how the clinic responds to a complication and when a review can take place. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) patient guidance describes filler indications, limits and risks. Product approval in one country does not itself establish authorisation in Iran; ask the treating facility to confirm the local status of the exact product.

Ask for a written plan. It should separate the clinical fee from hotel, travel, translation and transport. You should be able to decline treatment after the in-person consultation if the proposed plan does not make sense to you. A reputable coordinator should make that choice easier rather than press you to proceed.

Why might an international patient consider Iran?

For some visitors, Tehran offers a practical combination: a choice of established aesthetic clinics, the possibility of comparing several consultations, coordination in English, and a preliminary cost discussion in US dollars. Travelling can be worthwhile when you already plan to be in Iran or need help combining an appointment with other care. It is less compelling if a single small injection requires a long, expensive trip and no suitable follow-up will be available at home.

Iran should be assessed as a particular clinician and facility, not as a promise attached to a destination. A good decision depends on your anatomy, previous injections, medical history, product authenticity, injection skill and emergency preparation. Tehran is the main focus of this guide because the case galleries and clinics below are located there. Our wider Hamintour Medical Tourism hub explains how international patient coordination works, while our Medical Magazine gives treatment-specific reading.

Make the travel decision separately from the aesthetic decision. Check the current advisory from your government or a relevant official foreign office, flight routes, your nationality’s entry requirements, and whether your insurance covers elective treatment abroad. Conditions can change; there is no permanent safety assurance for a destination or travel date.

What do filler injections cost in Iran?

Start with the unit of sale. A “session,” a prefilled syringe and one millilitre are not automatically the same purchase. A $150 lip session cannot be compared fairly with a $150 price per millilitre until you know the product, quantity, treating clinician and what happens if you need review. Public English-language listings aimed at international patients suggest a very broad initial indicator of about US$80–$500 across treatment areas and products. This is a published-market indicator, not Hamintour observed quotation data, a guaranteed local rate or a quotation from the three clinics shown below.

AreaCommon pricing unitApproximate USD indicationAsk before comparing
LipsPer session, syringe or millilitre, depending on provider$80–$200 in one publicly advertised clinic range; request a current quoteProduct, volume, injector fee and review
CheeksOften per syringe, sometimes per sideA broad $200–$500 per-syringe listing exists, but it is not a cheek-specific quoteNumber of syringes and whether both sides are included
Chin or jawlinePer area or syringeA published clinic example lists $80–$200 for chin and $100–$250 for jawline per sessionWhether chin and jawline are separate line items
Nasolabial foldsBy side, area and volumeIndividual written quoteWhether treating cheek support is part of the plan
Under-eye or noseOnly after a specialist evaluationNo generic price shown for these higher-risk sitesWhy injection is appropriate and the emergency response plan

Price-source names: Dr Roxanna Sadoughifar’s Tehran practice (published lip, chin and jawline session examples) and Iran Health Agency (a broader filler-per-syringe listing). These are provider or facilitator listings, not independently sampled transaction prices; their units and availability may change. The figures above are approximate, not a patient invoice. Local prices displayed in Iranian tomans may be intended for domestic patients and must not be automatically converted into an international price. Contact Hamintour Medical for a current, itemised USD estimate.

Ask whether the quote covers the consultation, the named clinician, product and batch details, all proposed areas, a review visit, interpreter support and any correction if medically appropriate. Also ask how cancellation works if the doctor decides against treatment after examining you. A premium brand does not guarantee the best result; a very low quote should prompt more questions about the sealed package, training and facility.

Request an itemised plan for your case

Tell us the area you are considering, your country of departure, any previous filler and your likely travel window. We can relay the information to a suitable medical provider and ask for a written proposal that identifies product, quantity and follow-up. A remote opinion is preliminary; the final price and medical decision follow the clinician’s examination.

Compare the whole journey, not an isolated syringe price

A country-to-country table can mislead when one offer is per syringe, another per area and a third includes a hotel. Rather than inventing a comparable average for Turkey, the UAE, Iraq, the United Kingdom or Iran, request like-for-like proposals. If the procedure is elective and small, the cost of a flight may outweigh an apparent treatment saving.

CompareQuestions to put to every provider
Medical offerSame product type and amount? Named injector? Consultation and review included?
Safety responseWho is available after hours? Is urgent ophthalmic or hospital assessment accessible if indicated?
TravelFlights, visa, lodging, transfers, interpreter, meals and extra nights?
After returnHow will the treating clinic receive photographs or examine a concern? Who can evaluate you locally?

A fair comparison is an itemised total in one currency, with an explicit treatment unit and a realistic contingency plan. If a provider cannot explain these elements, do not fill the gap with an assumed “average.”

Treatment areas: what can a filler change?

Only a treating clinician can decide suitability and quantity after examining your anatomy, skin, previous treatments and goals. Fixed claims about the number of “cc” needed for a particular area are unreliable. Initial photographs can be distorted by swelling, lighting or camera angle. The FDA filler guide distinguishes the uses reviewed by the US regulator and specifically flags unapproved uses and serious complications.

Lips

Aims may include modest volume, border definition or symmetry. Swelling can exaggerate the immediate look, so compare later images when dates are available. Ask what amount is planned and whether a staged approach is preferable.

Cheeks

A clinician may discuss support or contour, but “lift” in an advertisement can imply more than a filler can deliver. The assessment should include facial balance and existing asymmetry.

Chin and jawline

These areas may change profile or lower-face contour. Ask whether chin projection, jawline definition or both are being proposed. See Hamintour’s separate jawline case collection for further examples.

Nasolabial folds and lines around the mouth

A fold may relate to anatomy and cheek support as well as local tissue. Direct filling is not automatically the best plan. Ask the clinician to explain why a particular site is chosen.

Temples and other facial contour areas

Some clinicians treat volume loss elsewhere in the face, but different anatomical sites have different risks and product considerations. A broad “full-face” package does not substitute for a site-by-site plan.

Tear troughs / under-eye

This area requires particularly careful diagnosis. Puffiness, pigmentation and shadows can have different causes, and filler can worsen some appearances. Discuss other options and the complication pathway.

Nose / liquid rhinoplasty

A filler cannot replace surgery or correct every structural concern. The nose is a high-risk injection site; the FDA does not list nasal filler injection among its approved uses. Read the risks first and compare with a surgical consultation if the concern is structural.

Body enlargement

Do not treat a body-enhancement offer as routine facial filler. The FDA advises against dermal fillers for breast, buttock and foot enlargement and warns about serious harm from injectable silicone.

For a different concern, compare the broader non-surgical aesthetic treatment guide, rhinoplasty guide and plastic surgery guide. Each addresses a different type of intervention; none should be treated as an automatic substitute for an in-person assessment.

Filler types and authenticity: what to check before injection

Hyaluronic acid (HA). HA fillers come in different formulations and are not interchangeable across all treatment sites. Some HA-related complications may be managed with hyaluronidase by an appropriately trained clinician. That is a separate medical intervention with its own limitations; “dissolvable” is not a guarantee that an unwanted outcome can be completely reversed.

Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and other materials. These are different products with different indications and behaviour. Never accept a vague promise that all fillers are the same or that an unfamiliar product can simply be dissolved. The FDA product directory is useful for understanding product-specific indications in the United States, but local authorisation and the exact package offered in Iran still need to be checked with the provider.

Before opening the package, ask to see its full brand and product name, manufacturer, sealed packaging, expiry date, batch or lot number and volume. Confirm that the clinician intends to use it in the discussed area and will record those details for you. Ask what preparation for allergic reactions and vascular complications is available. Do not buy injectable filler online for self-use and do not treat a “needle-free” filler offer as equivalent to a clinician-performed injection; the FDA warns against these practices.

The brand, method of purchase and country of manufacture alone cannot prove that a particular package is authentic. The clinic should be willing to explain its procurement, local registration and traceability. If an answer is evasive, postpone the procedure.

Three Tehran clinics: what we can verify, and what you must verify

These three providers publish their own examples of filler work. Hamintour Medical works with these clinics and can coordinate appointments when a case is appropriate and a provider is available. Being included does not mean that the people pictured were Hamintour patients, that we independently audited clinical outcomes or that a particular result can be reproduced for you. Selection here reflects a traceable clinic identity and relevant official case pages, not a national ranking.

Request the name and registration number of the exact clinician who will treat you. Check the details in the Iran Medical Council member directory and confirm that the person who appears at the appointment is the person whose registration you checked. Ask the clinic for its current address, facility authorisation, product information and after-hours contact. A clinic’s name or website cannot substitute for these individual checks.

Risks, complications and signs that need urgent help

Short-term effects can include swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising and discomfort. They may settle over days or take longer. Infection, nodules, inflammatory reactions, migration, persistent asymmetry and dissatisfaction are also possible. The most serious concern is unintended injection into a blood vessel, which can interrupt circulation. The FDA safety page reports possible tissue death, vision problems including blindness and stroke. These rare outcomes matter because delaying assessment can be harmful.

Seek urgent medical help immediately if you develop unusual or escalating pain, white, grey or blue skin near the injection, a sudden change in vision, or stroke-like symptoms during or after the procedure. Do not wait for a routine review or an online reply. The treating clinic should give you an emergency number and a route to appropriate local assessment before you leave.

Ask who will recognise a vascular problem, what supplies and protocols are available, how quickly urgent ophthalmic or hospital help can be reached, and whether you have the product and batch information to give another doctor. A reassuring phrase such as “it is easy to dissolve” is not a complication plan. The right response depends on the problem and the product.

Do not conceal previous filler, even if you cannot name it. Older material, scars and prior surgery can change the assessment. You are entitled to pause or decline the procedure after discussing risks, alternatives and realistic outcomes.

When should you postpone or request individual medical advice?

Tell the clinician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection or inflammatory rash at the proposed site, have had a previous injection reaction, or have an allergy to a proposed filler component or added local anaesthetic. Also discuss any bleeding disorder, anticoagulant medicine, serious allergy history, immune-related condition, dental treatment or recent illness. Some situations call for postponement; others require a tailored assessment. The FDA patient checklist outlines conditions that should be raised before treatment.

Include all previous injectable treatments, including permanent or unidentified filler, and provide dates if possible. Share your complete medicine and supplement list. Do not stop a prescribed medicine because a web page suggests it. Ask the prescribing clinician and the injector to agree on a safe plan. Our contact form cannot decide an individual contraindication or clear you to travel.

If your concern is swelling beneath the eyes, pigmentation rather than hollowing, or skin laxity, a different treatment or no procedure may be more suitable. The consultation should leave room to reach that conclusion.

A sensible treatment visit, step by step

Before arrival

Describe your goal and prior treatment, and send photographs only if you choose. Hamintour can request a preliminary provider opinion; a photograph is not a diagnosis. Obtain an itemised estimate and confirm visa, flight and insurance arrangements before purchasing travel.

In-person consultation

The treating clinician examines the face, checks for infection and discusses expectations, alternatives, product selection and risks. Ask for the clinician’s name and registration number, sealed product information, estimated amount, consent details and a follow-up plan.

Treatment and review

If you agree, the provider performs the injection and supplies written product and aftercare records. Arrange the first review while you are still nearby. Before leaving, clarify urgent warning signs, who responds outside office hours and how follow-up will work from home.

A “one-day treatment trip” may leave too little time for a proper consultation and any early concern. The clinician should decide whether an additional local review period is needed for your plan. If you travel for several services, arrange the order and spacing with the relevant physicians; cosmetic injections do not automatically fit safely around dental or other procedures.

Keep copies of consent, the exact injected product, quantity, lot number, treated sites, provider name and emergency instructions. These records help your own clinician if a question arises after returning home.

Aftercare without a one-size-fits-all rule

Follow the treating clinician’s instructions for the exact product and area. Avoid manipulating or massaging the injection site unless instructed; the advice may vary by treatment. A clinician may suggest brief cool compresses for early swelling and a temporary pause in strenuous exercise or high heat, but the timing should be personalised. Do not try to correct the contour by pressing on it yourself, and do not assess symmetry while swelling is prominent. The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) answers explain what patients can generally expect and why early effects do not equal the settled result.

Do not schedule the flight so tightly that there is no way to contact the injector after treatment. Discuss the expected course, a planned check and when to seek urgent care before you depart. If you experience severe pain, visual disturbance or discoloured skin, use emergency services immediately rather than treating it as ordinary swelling.

Once home, send photographs through the agreed clinic channel when requested. For a new or severe symptom, obtain local clinical assessment. Hamintour can help reconnect you with the original provider and transmit records, but remote coordination cannot replace urgent in-person care.

Could another treatment be a better fit?

If the problem is a movement-related line, pigment, loose skin or structural anatomy, filler may be the wrong tool. Ask the clinician to describe what they see, what change they expect and what will remain unchanged. The best consultation sometimes ends with a smaller plan, a staged approach or no intervention.

Planning a visit to Tehran from abroad

Check your passport, nationality-specific entry rules and purpose of visit with the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-visa portal or the relevant consulate before paying for travel. Rules, flight routes and payment arrangements may change. Read your own government’s current travel advice; for example, the UK Foreign Office Iran page may be relevant to British travellers. Its advice is not a substitute for the policy of your own country. Confirm that your insurance, if any, covers elective treatment, complications and evacuation as applicable—do not assume standard travel insurance does.

Build the trip around a consultation, possible treatment and a review window. Choose accommodation where you can reach the clinic easily. Arrange a reliable method of paying the provider in a lawful manner, and ask for the payment terms in writing. Hamintour can coordinate flights on request, suitable accommodation, airport pickup, local transfers, interpretation and practical support, subject to availability. We can also ask the provider how post-treatment communication will work after you leave Iran.

If you are planning sightseeing, let the clinician tell you whether activity, heat, sun or travel is appropriate after the chosen treatment. A tourist itinerary should be shaped around care, not sold as a medical benefit. Safety, transport and clinic schedules should be rechecked near departure.

How Hamintour Medical Tourism helps

Hamintour’s role is to make the process easier to understand and coordinate. We start with your concern: perhaps a subtle lip change, help comparing under-eye options, or a review of past filler. We can identify suitable providers to contact and obtain preliminary information. The treating clinician decides what is medically appropriate after assessment.

Provider communication

We help you reach clinics and physicians, arrange a consultation, relay medical history securely when you agree and request a written plan. We help compare the product, proposed amount, clinician, price and follow-up rather than recommending the cheapest headline.

Travel coordination

On request, we can help with flight booking, hotel or other accommodation, airport reception and transfers between accommodation and the clinic or related appointments.

Language and practical support

Where needed, we can coordinate an interpreter or patient companion, assist with appointment timing, and help clarify practical instructions between you and the provider.

During the visit, we remain available for practical coordination. After you return home, we can help reconnect you with the treating clinic for routine follow-up and share records you authorise us to transmit. For a medical emergency, seek immediate local care; a travel coordinator cannot examine or treat you. Any laboratory test, imaging or additional medical service is arranged only when ordered by the relevant clinician.

Ask for the proposed package in writing: clinical charges, Hamintour coordination services, accommodation, transfers and anything excluded. You may request a shorter set of services if you already have your travel arrangements. We do not offer a fixed “all-inclusive” filler package without knowing your medical and practical needs.

About Hamintour Medical Tourism

Hamintour Medical Tourism is an Iran-based platform that helps international patients find treatment options and connect with physicians, clinics and hospitals. We are a medical travel coordinator, not a hospital, clinic, private medical practice or the patient’s treating team. We do not diagnose, prescribe medicine, perform injections or promise a result.

Our aim is to make every step—from the first question to the provider’s follow-up—clearer and better organised. Good coordination includes telling you what remains uncertain. A clinic’s published gallery is evidence that the clinic has chosen to publish those examples; it is not independent proof of every patient’s outcome. A public price range is a starting point for questions, not a binding quote. A positive first conversation is useful, but the in-person clinician retains responsibility for diagnosis, consent and treatment.

You can learn more from the Hamintour Medical homepage, the English comparison of aesthetic clinics and our Medical Magazine. For a case-specific enquiry, use the form above or send us a WhatsApp message with your preferred treatment area and travel window.

Frequently asked questions before filler treatment in Iran

How much does one millilitre of filler cost in Iran?

There is no single price for all products or areas. Public international listings suggest a wide approximate range, and a quote must specify the product, amount, clinician fee and follow-up. Ask Hamintour for a current written estimate in US dollars.

Is the price on a local clinic website the price for a foreign patient?

Not necessarily. A price in Iranian tomans may be intended for domestic patients or may exclude services an international visitor needs. Request a written international quote with the billing unit and inclusions.

Is dermal filler a surgery?

No. It is an injectable medical procedure. Being non-surgical does not mean it is free of serious risk, including accidental injection into a blood vessel.

Which filler is best for lips or cheeks?

There is no universally best product. The clinician must assess the area and decide whether any filler, and which locally authorised product, suits you. Ask to see the sealed pack and patient information.

Can a filler result be guaranteed from a before-and-after picture?

No. Photographs may differ in lighting, expression, angle, timing and additional treatments. A provider’s published example does not predict your anatomy, result or risk.

Who took the before-and-after photographs on this page?

They were published by Iranian Clinic, H2 Clinic and Pamchal Clinic on their official sites. Hamintour hosts WebP copies and links to the original image or provider gallery for each case. They are not identified as Hamintour patients.

How long does filler last?

Duration varies by material, treated area, amount and individual factors. Ask about the specific product and discuss a realistic review plan; do not rely on a universal duration claim.

Can hyaluronic acid filler always be dissolved?

Hyaluronidase may be used to address some HA filler issues, but it is a medical intervention and cannot guarantee complete reversal or restoration of the previous appearance. Other filler materials behave differently.

What should I do if I have severe pain or vision changes after injection?

Seek urgent medical care immediately. Sudden unusual pain, white, grey or blue skin, vision changes and stroke-like symptoms are warning signs described by the FDA. Do not wait for a routine follow-up or online message.

Is nose filler a safer alternative to rhinoplasty?

That cannot be assumed. The nose is a particularly concerning injection site and a filler cannot correct every structural issue. Discuss the specific risks and a surgical opinion if appropriate.

Can filler be used for breast or buttock enlargement?

The FDA advises against dermal filler injections for breast or buttock enlargement and warns of serious harm from injectable silicone. Do not treat these offers as ordinary facial filler services.

Can I have filler while pregnant or breastfeeding?

The FDA says safety is unknown during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tell the treating clinician and ask for an individual assessment; postponement may be appropriate.

How do I check the injector in Iran?

Ask for the full name and registration number of the person who will inject you, then verify it in the Iran Medical Council directory. Also confirm the clinic identity and current facility information.

Is Tehran the only city offering filler treatment?

No. This page focuses on Tehran because the selected official case galleries and provider information concern Tehran clinics. City alone is not a quality measure.

How many days should I stay in Tehran?

There is no universal safe minimum. Allow time for the consultation and the review recommended by the treating clinician, then plan travel around that advice and your personal risk.

Does Hamintour provide the injection?

No. Hamintour is a medical tourism coordinator. The licensed physician and facility are responsible for assessment, consent, product selection, injection and medical care.

Can I receive an estimate before travelling?

Yes, a preliminary estimate can be requested after you share the proposed area and relevant history. It remains provisional until the treating clinician examines you and confirms the plan.

Will my travel insurance cover complications?

Coverage differs by policy and nationality. Ask your insurer specifically about elective treatment abroad, complications, follow-up and emergency care before booking.

Are all three clinics guaranteed to accept my case?

No. Availability and suitability depend on the clinician’s review, current schedule and your medical needs. A published case gallery does not imply that a provider will recommend the same treatment for you.

What records should I take home?

Request the clinician and facility details, product name, batch or lot, amount and sites injected, consent record, aftercare advice, follow-up arrangement and emergency contact details.
